Playing Musopoly

This is the first time I've played Musopoly. I was pleasantly surprised. I teach a family of 4 kids, age 9, 13, 15, 17; piano books 3, 3, 5, graduate; 3 boys & a girl. We played for over an hour and they caught on very quickly to the note values and math involved (although neither of the younger 2 have had any real exposure to most of the small values as yet). They loved trading their combinations in for a larger note value! The dictation and performing were also great hits.

When the older two landed on a treble or bass note, I made them do harder things, for example "spell the dominant chord of the scale for which this note is the tonic", or "spell the major and parallel minor key signature for which this note is the tonic and then play the scale.
