Using Music Mind Games at a workshop in Honolulu, Hawaii

Hi Michiko!

 

I wanted to share a very cute picture of one of my Music Mind Games classes at the STEH Spring Workshop.  These are my 3-4 year old students who were building an alphabet snake, while I was teaching Five Hiding to some older children in the background.

My Pre-Twinkle students have all purchased the Puppy Packets this year, and it has been so helpful to their musical development.  Even parents have commented that when the frustration level has peaked during practice, they turn their attention to a MMG or two and come back to the violin after.  This group of Pre-Twinklers know all of their Blue Jello rhythms, and they go around singing blue jello words to the pieces in Suzuki Book 1 (up to Allegro).  It is too cute!
