Notes and Rests Cards
Students can play simple through advanced card games with the notes and rests cards to learn to read rhythms and understand rhythm math. Students use the cards to:
- learn individual notes and rests
- understand common groupings of notes
- develop the ability to recall information quickly by playing fun games
This deck includes two identical sets of green and yellow cards, each with 35 cards. Two sets make it possible for several students to share a deck of cards and to play many games. The single notes and rests and groupings of notes are the same as those used in the blue jello word cards.

Although these cards are just added to the Music Mind Games site, a previous version was part of the Warner Bros. materials (1992) and Michiko has been testing them for more than 25 years. These cards are part of a series of Music Mind Games materials that includes the: blue jello cards, blue jello rhythm puzzle, rhythm playing cards, blue jello word cards, rhythm bingo cards, real rhythm cards*, and time signature cards*. Listening, singing and making music is a vital part of the learning process.
