In Brief:
Students write the pitches of the major scale in do re mi rainbow colors with magic notes on paper pianos. After adding low ti and la, they can sing all of "Daily Do," linking the major scale to the relative minor scale
Create a visual arrangement for do re mi rainbow colors on the keyboard, relate the note sequence, intervals, and chord patterns, and use "Daily Do" to establish the foundational relationship between major and minor scales
Prerequisite Concepts:
Singing "Daily Do" using do re mi cards in all previous games
Teacher's Role:
Play along with students and demonstrate new concepts
This game is repeated often until it's learned and continued as a review game. Repeat whenever paper pianos are used to write scales and other patterns. Do re mi cards and alphabet cards may be included
