In Brief:
Add two space notes, low F in the bass clef and high G in the treble clef. Adding these notes extends the clef notes symmetrical pattern and reinforces that octaves alternate lines and spaces. Since all the other notes on the grand staff are only a second or third away from one of these nine notes, learning these two notes students can leap to naming notes the entire grand staff.
Objectives:
Expand recognition to low F in the bass clef and high G in the treble clef
Prerequisite Concepts:
5 C's Grand Staff, Clef notes G and F and other preceding games
Teacher's Role:
Demonstrate and play the game with students
Repetitions:
Steps can be played over several sessions, repeating each step as many times as you like. Practice laying out the 5 C's every chance you can.
