Akiko Takahashi is a Music Mind Games Teacher and a voice and piano teacher. She lives in Sussex, England with her husband Michio. Their adult son, Tomoki, lives in London.

Akiko has been a guest soloist for Arts Festivals in Shropshire and has performed as a soloist with an international arts touring group in New Zealand and both Eastern and Western Australia. Her solo performances have taken her to London, South East England, and Wales. Akiko loves walking, swimming, scuba diving, and practicing yoga.

Educational Background

Akiko received her Bachelor of Music in Voice from Musashino Academia Musicae in Tokyo, Japan. She received her LGSMD in Vocal Performance from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England. She also received a CTABRSM in piano from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

Teaching Experience

Akiko taught music for 18 years at the Rikkyo School in England giving vocal training, establishing choirs and various ensembles, and teaching music classes including GCSE Music and IGCSE Music. She was a co-founder of Piano Fun in London, which specialised in group piano lessons. Currently, Akiko enjoys teaching in her home studio and a village primary school.
